Please, i'd love to understand, I did a full post on trying to understand your larger post, and you have yet to make that entire post readable beyond the slightly jumbled mess it is.

they were also in DPA 60 so wl can't really use all of his a/d...

would also say that DueCE is fairly weak to regular attacks, since he's pretty much built to do magic, compared to you doing fighting and me doing tanking. We've all taken conceits for our builds... magic is broken in multiple ways as i said, both under and overpowered in certain circumstances.

<snip>
I dislike the idea of players training magic skill to 60& of hard cap (call them selves a "mage") and then start demanding to be as OP as close to hard cap a/d trainers in relation to damage output and or survivability, if i am reading some comments / responses right in other threads.
<snip>

I am desperately trying to understand that post but it's filled with dismissive language towards those with magic builds, making assumptions and accusations without any reasoning behind them. I haven't seen anyone demanding to be OP. I really want to see your reasoning or some posts that you're citing.

Do remember there is the quote button on the bottom right of posts and you can copy those posts from the reply box and then use them in this thread if you do, it would make it easier to follow up and find those posts.

Please, i really am trying to figure out what you're trying to say

Changes:
I'm proposing this Perk conflict with Magic Guy because of how both are Mage Perks and both boost mana even if in different ways.

I think the conflict should be removed. I'll explain why.

Touching on a very basic point to begin with; people who are choosing to 'specialise' their fighting style as a mage, will be spending far more GC on essence & pots, than any normal melee fighter (even when training A/D), due to the reduced PP spent in fighting attributes (having to stretch PP further to accomodate for Magic Offense). Melee fighters/tanks will typically take Magic Guy over Efficient Mage also, and never both due there being better perks for their play style.

I think the percentage for saving casts (1 in 10 roughly) seems to be fair and balanced for anyone looking to spend 3 PP without having a conflict. I would expect closer to 20% if I had any thought of choosing this perk over Magic Guy.

While casting various spells I found that I was spending less Essences and Mana than normal. This would be great for training up the Magic skill.
Works well, I like it as is.

Can we get any thoughts/comments/suggestions from people on this?

From my testing it seems the perk works as intended, however a couple more people testing and providing feedback wouldn't hurt.

Thanks all

I did my testing previously, then got caught up in off topic conversation with my mate butler. The issues of concern i noted previously were fixed.

I am easy either way for a conflict with this one.

It would not increase damage/healing output by much in any given situation i can think of at this stage, it only saves 12% of mana and ess used and would be more a leveling/cost saving advantage for the perk taker.

It works as described in the starter post. Another completed perk?
