The Main & EU proxy servers were updated this morning. Players probably won't notice much of a difference.
* Better stats handling of 0ms time that often happens when it measures #ping to the game server
* Improved handling of programs that are scanning the internet, including less logging
* Much higher code optimization during compile,
The additional optimizations might reduce your #ping times, or might not. In general the data will get in and out a little faster then in the past.
The main reason for doing the update was mostly that the last restart was almost 18 months ago on Main, so a restart seemed reasonable. Since a restart was being done the other changes that had been on Test I made live as well.
Reminder: People in EU and surrounding areas have the option of connecting either the the Main Proxy or the EU Proxy on the dev/website server. Your servers.lst file already contains an entry named 'eu' that can be used to connect through there. I do encourage connecting directly to Main, but sometimes the internet is funny and connecting to EU might work better for you.
