Mac & Windows downloads have been updated with version 1.9.3 10 with needed X-Attr support.

Changes include:
  • various bugfixes
  • fewer client restarts from automatic updates of some files
  • x-attribs
  • optional tradelog (options -> control to enable/configure)
  • printable counters (#session_counters and context-menu in counters-screen)
  • item-info on mouse-over (relies on item_info.txt in data-dir)

Linux people need to compile from git and then put this file into your ol_linux/languages/en/strings/ directory:

taken from Sir_Odie's post here:

Here's a link if you want to download the client I compiled, from an Arch x86_64 system.

To get the new client that shows the new attribute system, re-download the game at http://www.other-lif...m/downloads.php

OR (as aislinn posted) get the new zip file and extract it into your other-life game folder in programs from sir_odies post http://www.other-lif...utes/#entry7321 click on 'test client'

Please be careful when chosing your new build as there are no free soft resets on Main server.

The old client does still work with the new attribute system at this time. But you have to type #cross to view them.

It's recommended you eventualy download the new client as it includes other features/bug fixes as well as the attribute system.

Really should stop using a zip file for the Linux download. A (compressed) tarball retains the unix permissions and thus eliminates the whole chmod step.

If you want highly static and compatible Linux binaries, the afore mentioned tarball, and a generic script that'll work on most any distro that will download, install and put menu entry for the game, let me know and maybe i hook you up. ;p

Ehh I didn't upload it as a zip and it isn't downloading for me as a zip.  What am I missing?

Oh nevermind, that must have been for Learner.  Use quotes.  :P
